Altrusa is an international non-protift organization. Altrusa of Colorado Springs is comprised of women whose goal is to touch lives in our community. We are involved in supporting literacy and bettering our community through service projects and volunteerism. Some of our projects include Adopt-A-Family, Books At Bedtime, and senior activities at a local healthcare facility.
- Community Service: Is the reason for the very existence and continued efforts of our organization. Altrusa gives members the opportunity to position themselves as service leaders in our community.
- Literacy: While illiteracy affects every aspect of society, its invisible nature makes it difficult to measure the severity of its impact. Worldwide literacy is Altrusa's international goal.
- Vocational Services: As business executives and professionals, Altrusans have an obligation to help eliminate the barriers women and girls face.
